Pen strength on your label (mg)
Pen is 5 mg but your dose is 2.50 mg, we'll calculate split-dose clicks: (2.50 mg ÷ 5 mg) × 60. Off-label; use a fresh needle and confirm with your clinician.
Doses per pen
Golden = a 5th shot some people take from leftover after 4 weekly doses. The pen may not deliver a full dose, not in Lilly's Instructions for Use.

Mounjaro KwikPen · 5 mg mg pen
| When | What to do | Window |
|---|---|---|
| New needle (prime) | Turn dose knob slowly until you hear 2 clicks | - |
| Weekly dose | 30 clicks from zero after priming, (2.50 mg ÷ 5 mg) × 60 | - |
| Inject | Push knob in until it stops, hold ~5 sec | 0 |
Off-label dose-splitting: fresh needle every partial dose, prime first, mark your line on the dial so you don't lose count. Not in the official IFU, verify math before injecting.
Each 5 mg mg pen delivers 4 weekly doses of 0.6 mL, then discard per the leaflet.
Pen label says 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, or 15 mg, that's the strength of every dose in that pen, not something you dial to.
